EMSTA includes CPR certification as part of the EMT program. If you already have a current AHA BLS Provider card, you may submit a copy to admissions on the first day and will not have to test in class.

8 Week EMT-Basic Training – Monday through Thursday (9am-1pm), (6pm-10pm) Held every 8 weeks

7 Week EMT-Basic Training – Monday through Friday (9am-1pm), (1:30pm-5:30pm), (6pm-10pm) Held only in Summer

16 Week EMT-Basic Training – Tuesday and Thursday (6pm-10pm)

Textbooks and materials are included in the cost of the program. All students will receive a textbook on the day of orientation. EMSTA College does not accept used textbooks or textbooks purchased from a separate source.

Must be 18 years old to apply.

ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL BE DUE ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS*:

Copy of U.S. Citizenship or equivalent I. D. and a Social Security Number
Copy of High School Diploma, Certificate of Completion or GED

*EMSTA Offers AHA Healthcare Provider CPR as part of the EMT-B curriculum so if you do not have one on day 1, you will receive a CPR card by the 2nd week of class.

 

Copy of a valid Driver's License, State issued Identification Card or other Government issued Photographic Identification
Copy of current medical insurance coverage (policy or wallet card) or letter from the provider stating you have been approved for insurance during the course. Low cost short-term coverage is available on-line at www.ehealthinsurance.com.
Make copies of your shot record for the following Required Inoculation (DO NOT TURN IN YOUR ORIGINAL YELLOW CARD)
TB Test (within 1 year)
Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) 
*2 doses of the vaccine documented or a titer evidencing immunity
 Chicken Pox (Varicella) 
*2 doses of the vaccine documented or a titer evidencing immunity

Tdap – Tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (within 10 years)
Hepatitis B*

*Hep B, Flu and COVID-19 shots are optional, you can sign a declination form if the flu shot is not available.

Orientation is MANDATORY and will take place approximately 2 weeks prior to start of class. Students are required to participate in orientation prior to the start-date of their class in order to get class supplies and information on how to succeed in their program. Each student will receive an orientation invite AFTER they have submitted an application for the program.

Registration Fee

A non-refundable registration fee is required for all classes offered at EMSTA College and is applied towards the cost of that class.
