EMSTA College Certified Phlebotomy Technician training program is designed to teach the skills necessary for phlebotomy certification. This program will give students the basic and advanced knowledge along with the skills needed to succeed in the field of phlebotomy.
The course is comprised of 60 hours (2 days a week, 5 weeks) of classroom lecture and lab. Our experienced phlebotomy instructors guide students through the training. Following the completion of the classroom and lab training, students will take the final exam for the National Health Career Association (NHA) and be placed in an externship for 3 weeks to work alongside a licensed Phlebotomists (CPT1) at a local hospital or clinic in the San Diego area.
Upon completion of the entire 120 hour program, students will receive a course completion certificate, this certificate will allow graduates to apply for state licensure in phlebotomy (CPT1) and/or meet prerequisite for further degree including Medical Laboratory technicians.
