BPPE Approval Statement
EMSTA College’s approval to operate in the State of California is based on provisions of the California Private Postsecondary Education Act (CPPEA) of 2009, which is effective January 1, 2010. EMSTA College under section 94802 (a) of CPPEA, will by operation of law, be approved until June, 2012. The Act is administered by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education, under the Department of Consumer Affairs.

Paramedic Program Approval
The Paramedic Program of the Point Loma Nazarene University/EMSTA College for EMS Consortium is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, CAAHEP (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the EMS Professions, CoAEMSP (www.coaemsp.org).

Our programs are accredited and/or approved to provide students with a diploma or certificate of completion that will allow the student to take the state exam for licensing or certification, including National Registry. EMSTA College cannot provide students with transferable college credits or a degree.
Note: EMSTA College is not institutionally accredited but
the Paramedic Program is programmatically accredited by CAAHEP (as
required by Title 22, Division 9, Chapter 4, Article 3, (b)).
