The Paramedic Training Program is designed to prepare students for a professional career in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), including work on ambulances and other mobile medical units. Graduates of the program are trained to deliver advanced-level patient care in medical and traumatic emergencies.
This 14-month program consists of a comprehensive blend of classroom instruction, skills laboratories, simulations, hospital-based clinical experience, and a supervised field internship, totaling 1,249 hours of training.
Program Breakdown
Classroom Instruction:
369 hours of lectures, discussions, and workshops completed over approximately six months.
Practical Skills Training:
191 hours of hands-on skills training in laboratory settings, designed to develop proficiency in paramedic procedures.
Clinical Experience:
160 hours of supervised, hands-on patient care conducted in controlled hospital environments.
Field Internship:
529 hours assigned to an Advanced Life Support (ALS) unit, where students function in the role of a paramedic under the direct supervision of a qualified Field Preceptor.

Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following prerequisites:

A minimum of one (1) year or 1,000 hours of experience working as an EMT

Successful completion of a Paramedic Prep Course

Completion of an Anatomy & Physiology course
(Prerequisite courses are available through EMSTA College.)

July Cohort: Monday and Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
January Cohort: Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
This program complies with California Title 22, Article 3, Section 100148 of the Health and Safety Code.
Tuition & Fees – Paramedic Training Program
The total tuition for the Paramedic Training Program is $14,000*.
Deposit: $3,000 due at enrollment
Monthly Payments: Five (5) monthly payments of $2,200, beginning after the class start date
