Paramedic Training

A comprehensive 1,249 hr. course consisting of 340 hrs. classroom (didactic), 220 hrs. skills lab, 160 hrs. clinical (hospital experience) and 529 hrs. field internship components.

During didactic the class meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 PM. Thursdays are Mentor/lab/ride-along days, 9:00 am to 3:00 PM. The curriculum is based upon the 1999 U.S. D.O.T. guidelines for paramedic training programs. Upon successful completion of the entire course, a Certificate of Course Completion will be issued. This certificate will allow the student to apply for National Registry Certification/Licensure and subsequently for employment as an EMT-Paramedic.

This course is taught by seasoned instructors who assist the students throughout the course by providing continual instructor access, tutoring, simulations practice and other interactive teaching tools. We utilize technology to further the students understanding of the material in the form of SIMM Man (a computerized manikin) and a computer lab. This is an 11 month course that conforms to California Law, Title 22, Article 3, Section 100148 of the Health and Safety Code.
